Last week was the first time the VisiSoft team was able to get out and about to visit NFAN (National Farm Attraction Network) members and BALPPA (British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions) members face-to-face.

There’s nothing quite like seeing our customers and friends in the visitor attraction industry face to face after so many months on Zoom.
Some of the VisiSoft team have spent the last week travelling to meet with fellow members of NFAN and BALPPA to talk about coming through such a trying time for the visitor attraction industry. The socialising started with a dinner at Cotswolds Farm Park on Monday 20th September. The NFAN dinner gave members a great opportunity to discuss with friends how they were recovering from numerous lockdowns and restrictions. Farm park operators from right across the UK attended the event along with a selection of trade members who have helped support the industry for the past 18 months or so. The bright side of a global pandemic, that moment you take your first sip of [insert favourite drink here] and can catch up with like-minded individuals and look forward to what comes next.
The generous hospitable spirit of the NFAN organisers was felt yet again as the trade show and networking began with coffee and fresh pastries on offer to start the day off the right way. Following a walk around the trade show came some Pandemic Awards for those in the NFAN community who really stepped up and a special thank you to Anita who has helped the network navigate the last 18 months. Following on from these awards, Adam Henson was welcomed to the stage with his team, including Kate Lord and Duncan Andrews, to tell members about the growth and challenges faced by Cotswolds Farm Park over the last 50 years.
The NFAN event was a great opportunity for members to walk around the farm park and discover all the park has to offer. The afternoon continued with further trade show networking and a tour of the expanding accommodation that the farm park has been developing over the past few years.
It’s safe to say that the event was a great success. The VisiSoft team got to show off and properly launch the brand to members and this was very well received. We look forward to the next NFAN event in the coming months.
On Thursday 23rd September, BALPPA members were welcomed into Paultons Park, Southampton. Members had the choice to either enjoy a round of golf or explore the thrill of the park before coming together for the first time in 20 months. The golf round was played at the club next door to the park and was a massive hit with members (even if some spots were a little challenging!). Paultons Park is a family owned and run park, you can tell that care and attention is paid to every aspect of the park as you walk around. Every themed area has amazing attention to detail and you can see how much effort every member of the team puts in.
Having worked with Paultons Park for over 15 years some of our team took the opportunity to test out the rides, the favourite of the day being the Storm Chaser in Tornado Springs. The BALPPA member event was hosted inside the Route 83 diner located inside Paultons brand new area Tornado Springs. VisiSoft has had a huge involvement in the continued development of the park including the self service technology used within this food outlet. As the headline sponsor for the BALPPA event we were able to showcase a little more about what VisiSoft has to offer including our self service kiosks, ticketing solution, stock control, Ecommerce integration and EPOS solutions.
The whole VisiSoft team thoroughly enjoyed the event with Marketing Manager for VisiSoft, Rachel Hand commenting “This event was great, Paultons Park are a great customer of ours so to be hosting the first BALPPA reunion it just worked out really well to help us launch our brand. Every till across the park is a VisiSoft till, including the self service kiosks so all the BALPPA members probably interacted with our technology during their visit. We’re really looking forward to what comes next and hope to keep seeing members at more events in the coming months.”
So that’s it, a successful start to face-to-face events and we can’t wait for the next ones!
