Moving away from a disjointed system and implementing a new EPOS and ticketing system that gives the management a holistic view of the entire business meant everything could be managed in one place. With reports avaliable for everything in the business that matters to the museum, managers were able to report on things like customer data and break down customer types to target marketing campaigns and gain a better understanding of their member types. Every report has been designed and developed by VisiSoft alongside the team at The Tank Museum to ensure they are getting the data out of the system that is important to them.
In terms of online ticketing and membership management, the entire booking process has been streamlined. Members and ‘Friends Of’ can all login to book and manage their bookings online, without the need to call the museum to rearrange. This self-service approach means that more members book online and capacity management is easy to control. With The Tank Museum having a good understanding of their average footfall every day, week or month, they can organise appropriate staff levels, reduce wastage and plan resources based on their expected numbers.
