ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure Undertake A Digital Transformation With The Help Of VisiSoft

ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure, a family visitor attraction in Norfolk, has taken the first step in their bid to become the number one destination in the UK for dinosaur enthusiasts, by digitalising their park and upgrading legacy systems. ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure, aims to bring dinosaur statues to life with technology such as Augmented Reality and create memorable days out for visitors by improving technology right across their park from updating their online ticketing solution and upgrading their tills with VisiSoft.

Creating a seamless experience for guests is a key driver for change at ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure. Inspired by the technology used at other UK family attractions, they plan to enhance the average family day out, long term plans include using mobile apps to pre-order food and contactless turnstile entry to allow higher numbers to enter the parks faster. In the short term their key driver is to set up one complete park management system that allows their team to manage ticketing, memberships, events, stock, tills, food & beverage outlets and reporting.

The work on updating the park has already begun with the implementation of a new EPOS and online ticketing system installed by VisiSoft. VisiSoft already work with huge visitor attractions, such as Eden Project, The Tank Museum and Paultons Park to deliver high quality ticketing and admissions solutions, plus EPOS, stock and accounts software integrations for family attractions and parks.

New functionality provided by the new ticketing system, not previously available to visitors at ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure, is the ability for visitor to control their bookings. This functionality allows visitors to book by date or event and manage visits online. This is the first step towards the new vision of one connected system to join up operations across the park and to measure the level of success of these new digital investments. ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure recently submitted planning permission to extend the park within the existing 85-acres it resides and build new interactive areas for visitors. Adam Goymour, Park Director commented “We looked at the systems top UK visitor attractions, such as The Eden Project and Paultons Park, had in place to enhance the visitor’s experience and have invested in the same technology with VisiSoft. We’re taking the steps we know will help accelerate growth and key to this is a ticketing and EPOS system to manage the pre-visit, visit and post-visit follow up for visitors.”

Talking about phase two ideas for the project he continued, “We want to be recognised nationally in the UK that’s why phase two of the project, involves working with suppliers, such as VisiSoft, on further integrations like self-service kiosks and turnstile entry. We plan on used the phased approach to grow sustainably and in line with our resources. If we get planning permission, we plan to expand the park even further but that’s a few years off at the moment.”

He concluded, “As a business we needed a partner that is invested in what they are trying to achieve. Creating a seamless experience for their guests was a huge driver for change and investment for the management team at ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure over the coming months, further development and improvements will be implemented at the park.
